Successful Laser Sintering Test

This video shows our most recent successful laser sintering test. This test was preformed on a 0.3mm thick single layer of copper powder using a high output solid state laser. No inert atmosphere was used for this test, so a dark oxide layer to form on the surface of the sintered metal. Preparations for our next test are underway, with redesigned linear actuators and an inert atmosphere. We are confident these improvements will greatly increase print quality. This test demonstrates that a SLS based machine can be constructed using our current laser technology and driver circuitry.
